On the island of Lesvos, in idyllic Molyvos, the birthplace of the mythical guitarist Arion, exceptional guitarists and musicians will be giving master classes, seminars, lectures, workshops and recitals, during an exciting week of music making.
This year Arion organizes special activities for younger as well as for older participants. Workshops for young guitarists (7-12 years old), preparation courses for students who wish to enter the Music Academies with the famous professor H. Käppel, auditions for the International Koblenz Guitar Academy, as well as lectures and presentations.
There will also take place four different kind of competitions:
– for young guitarists up to 13 years old,
– for young guitarists up to 17 years old,
– for guitarists without age limit,
– for guitar orchestras or large guitar ensembles.
Participants of Arion can be students, guitar ensembles of every level as well as guitar soloists and professors.
